ANOINTED FIGHTER

What is your favorite scripture in the bible that motivates you to stand firm and "Fight The Good Fight Of The Faith" ?

My favorite is Matthew 10:28 - "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
I think this is AWESOME! This scripture tells us that we need to have courage in the face of Adversity and never worry about how big the challenge is. As long as we have Christ directing our life, we will gain the Victory in the Eternity Fighting Championship.

Psalms 139:23-24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

I LIKE MATTHEW 10:28, I ACTUALLY HAVE ALOT OF SCRIPTURE THAT MOTIVATES ME,BUT I CAN NAME A FEW.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.

WHEN I LOOK AT THIS, ITS GOD REMINDER THAT SATAN CANT TOUCH ME, AND NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.

PROVERBS 27:17
IRON SHARPENS IRON; SO A MAN SHARPENS THE COUNTENCE OF HIS FRIEND.

THIS SCRIPTURE TELLS US WHEN OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST ARE GETTING WEIGHED DOWN BY THE DEVIL, WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE THEM SO THEY CAN CONTINUE FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.

BUT IT CAN ALSO HAVE OTHER MEANINGS AS WELL

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, THE ARMOUR OF GOD WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS EPHESIANS 6:10-18 THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO BE MY MOST FAVORITE!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. [Joshua 1:9]

A couple years ago I read Psalms 144:1 "Blessed be the Lord my strength, who teaches my hand's to war and my fingers to fight!"

At that time I had just started playing football for the first time in college (deffinitly the Lord's placement) and I was greatly encouraged by this verse in how it's the Lord who gives me strength, no matter what the situation. And how He's the one who provides the ablility to fight even when I've had no experience, enough to have the coaches want me to come back this year and make me a captain, praise the Lord who is my strength.

Many scriptures get me amped up and ready to fight for the Lord but one really gives me a reward for doing it(yea I'm a little selfish, but i'm working on it). Revelation 3:12.) He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he WILL NOT go out from it anymore, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.....Many things have to be overcome in our lives by the time most of us come to Jesus and in my case I had to take a stand for Jesus and overcome my many addictions. I know God healed me and delievered me but I still have to overcome my flesh alot! Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ our Lord and the indwelling power of His awesome Holy Spirit!!!!!!!

I can definitely understand where you are coming from Zane. I too lived a extremely fleshly life that has kept me struggling with my past issues at times, but I know that Jesus is my deliverer and healer so I will win the fight against myself.

I mite have some insite to the turn the other cheek discussion I saw this morning on annointed fighter, I was saved in a level 4 california prison and after being saved, delievered and filled with the Holy Spirit the first 20 minutes I ever spent in church I jumped into Bible reading becuz I actually understood what I was reading and the Lord was showing me His word daily, I came across the scripture turn the other cheek and it totally wrecked my day, I made my bones on the outside and also done it on the inside about a month before I got saved and made the prison boxing team about 7 months before they shut it down to lack of funds and over crowding, I didnt come into prison a punk and I didnt want to leave a punk by turning the otther cheek, not only that in a california prison system turning the other cheek could mean a death sentence, I became very aloof with ,my new found Christian convict friends over this scripture, as green as I was then I was actually thinking about giving up my salvation over the issue, well my friends knew sumthin was wrong with me for I was not going to their Bible study or church when we could and the elder of the group caught up with me and was point blank why I was giving up on the Lord so quickly, when I told him he laughed his rear end off and at the time I didnt think it was very funny for to me it was a very serius issue, I will never forget what he told me, he said homeboy where are we at, I said vacaville prison and he said correct, what rules to we live by I said the Bible hopefully and he says the Bible says we are to follow the rules of that which gonverns us and in prison you follow 2 sets of rules, the convict code and the the wardons rules, he said God expects me to follow both with excellence, he said God does not want any of His children being a punk to no man ever, my chest pouffed up and I went to the boxing gym and beat the heavy bag like I never done before, I ended up leading around 20 fellow convicts to the Lord in the next 3 years, after I got out a preacher showed me a latin tramnslation of the turn the other cheek scripture and the hebrews would pluck out a hair out of a mans beard as the ultimate form of insult and Jesus felt that it was a weak thing to do so He said turn the other cheek and let the lop do it again for it means nothing, as sum of you know my family has been raising american pit bull terriers for over 50 years, I have dogs that go back to Johm L sullivan, Jack Dempsy and others in our pedigrees and a true bulldog seldom statrts a fight but they ALWAYS finish it, we shud never start trouble but we should surely help others and protect our own with the power of God on our side, I dont mean to offend any one but God has shown me these things hopefully it can shed a lil light on the subject

You have made a great choice to fight for the Lord. He is awesome and your life is a testimony to what He has done for you and what He is going to do. I do not care about what you did to get you there but I am glad to say Welcome my brother. Your struggle with dealing with mans laws and God's is also a struggle that I face. I have been a punk and been punked. More of the later lately, but when there is an injustice that I see that violates both man and God's laws I have been a bit outspoken for my own good, which makes my job harder. My favorite verses are posted as my headline on my page. These have been my source of encouragement for the last 10 years and will continue as long as I remain a fighter. I cannot let the outside world influence my tasks from God that He has placed in my life. Continue to be free of the bondage of your old self. You are loved and will always be loved.
Your Sister in Christ
