- Still plugging away - just started muay thai in August of last year, and grappling classes shortly thereafter. I'm the only girl a lot of times, but that has only made me tough.
I've been through things most people don't go through, of course each has their own crosses to bear. God has used those things to make me indomitable...
I fight fear a lot and insecurity, but God has really taught me a lot about where I get my sense of self and my pride from - not from me, not from others, but from him only.
God has made me a beautiful and very strong woman...now he is making me an mma fighter. Why? I don't know, but it is clear that He has opened these doors for me. I get a lot of joy from punching people in the face. LOL It is an amazing feeling being a part of this - working so hard and finding I am able to do much more than I thought I was capable of.
This is great! Thank you Lord!!!!!!

Building a champion
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his
incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,”
Ephesians 1:18-19
God loves to build champions. If you hang around long enough in his gym and your fighting style will begin to change. Punches of pain will be replaced with submissions of grace. Anger will be knocked out and weak legs made strong. God will never leave a fighter unchanged. He builds champions.
This might explain some of the pain in your life. Being a champion requires enduring pain. Training camp is not a walk in the park. We don’t object when we win, we just groan when we loose. He has high aspirations for you. God envisions you with your hand raised in the end. He won’t stop until he is finished… He wants you to be just like Jesus.
Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep Fighting!

That's how Jesus feels about us... He loves us so much that He paid the price for our emotional healing in the work on the cross!

- God never gets mired in our past failures. He is constantly viewing our lives with future success in mind. "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland" (Isa. 43:19). Someone once said, "When your memories are bigger than your dreams, you're headed for the grave." God wants to give us new dreams that are bigger than anything that has ever happened to us in the past.
Don't let past failures keep you from future successes.
