A New Mantle
2 Kings 2:8,9,13,14 - Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you? Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."........He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.
The word "mantle" means, "That which is thrown on or around--a physical covering." An actual mantle, cloak or robe, is an article of clothing. It is typically large and loose-fitting. This long outer garment was in all probability the mantle worn by Elijah and then Elisha.
Today, God wants to "throw" on us, and "throw" around us, a new, more complete spiritual mantle! It is time that we do what Elisha did. It's time to ask and receive our new mantle.
Our new mantle is all-inclusive -- it contains everything we need to walk in the full power, gifting and authority of God for our life. Our mantle represents our spiritual DNA -- who we really are and who we are to become. It contains all the spiritual resources necessary for us to walk out the will of God.
Our new mantle must be activated -- Elisha immediately used his new mantle to "smote (strike) the waters."
Questions to Ask Myself
1. Am I ready to step out into a new and more powerful anointing from God than what I am experienceing today?
2. Do I have the courage to ask God for a new mantle (anointing) -- believing that I have received it and am ready to act on it immediately?
Prayer
Thank you God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for giving me a new spiritual mantle (anointing) complete with all the power, gifting, and authority available to me to advance your kingdom.

God bless you my brother and fellow king of Christ Jesus! Where are the Elijahs of God? Jesus is raising up a glorious Bride by the power of His Spirit who will be adorned in pure white, powerful, faithful, pure and unspotted from the corruption and stain of sin and the works of the flesh! Now is the time for all true believers to be empowered and to do the works of Christ as the kings and priests God has chosen us to be for His Glory! There is a great separation taking place as the true Sheep of God's sheepfold are being divided from the goats. The Lord has given His wisdom of how to be anointed, how to walk, rule and reign as His kings and priests and we are given divine authority and power now to destroy the works of the evil one. Blessings in the mighty name of Jesus as I believe the same anointing and mantle of power that was placed upon Elijah and Elisha and all the kings, priests and prophets was poured out upon the early Church and Apostles and as God stated then, that in the last days, he would pour out His Spirit and anointing upon all believing flesh! God is doing so now just as He said he would! For those who want to hold back and embrace false doctrines of religions and embrace those who refused to be Born of the Holy Spirit of God, they must be warned that if they don't turn to Jesus in truth and holiness, they will be apart of the Apostate Church governed by the coming Antichrist! THe Harvest is ripe! Let us go forth and bring in the Kings and priests the Lord is chosing to rule and reign with Him forever! Blessings.
